Quick post today of a really nice mix done by Four Tet of a newish track from Warp Records Born Ruffians. I actually haven’t heard the original yet, but it’s always exciting when a Four Tet remix actually hits the mark and this one surely does. Builds upon a really clean, looping synth line and slowly adds beautifully processed vocals, looped and effected in such a way that they subtly remind of some kind of indigenous chanting. If you live in a world populated by Robots and Mermen. I would have posted the track but it’s easily accessible at the Bleep store for just over a dollar.
Scissorkick.com was born within the second wave of music blogs in the late 1990s and is guided by a soundtrack to one mode of contemporary living here in NYC. It is proudly genre-agnostic and on a continuous search for new independent rock and electronic music.

I've been doing scissorkick for nearly 15 years now -- in one form or another. I should post more often, but it's always been more about quality than quantity. It's a love affair that takes less than it gives back and that's mostly thanks to you.
