Spring has sprung and as usual there’s a handful of significant releases on the horizon. SK favorites like Broken Social Scene, The Album Leaf and Ratatat all have new ones either recently released or upcoming, but what’s more exciting are the smaller artists who have brand new or sophomore records coming out for summer soundtrack season. Cool shit across a bunch of genres, setting the tone for another productive musical heatwave. Also, on the Scissorkast front, you’ll notice less talking and more non-stop music in more of a proper mixtape format. These were never meant to be listened to as radio, nor did I ever intend to show up so much in the mix. So I should be moving forward with a simple intro/playlist/outro format from Scissorkast 8 on.
